Update on 61 crash
Beth Sinden — StaffThe badly damaged motorcycle and debris ended up in the front yard of a residence on State Route 61. The fatal accident occurred at 8:20 a.m. on Friday.
At approximately 9:50 a.m. the Galion Police Department advised that the traffic accident which occurred on State Route 61 between State Route 309 and U.S. Route 30 had been upgraded to a fatality accident. The collision occurred at 8:20 a.m. Friday and involved a box truck and a motorcycle, according to Lt. Lynn Sterling of the GPD.
No other details are being released at this time. The Crawford County Sheriff Department, as well as the Ohio State Highway Patrol and Life Star EMS assisted the GPD.

The Galion policed closed State Route 61 after the accident and reopened the road at about 11:30 a.m. Friday.
