Inci­dents from April 2 — 7, 2012

April 7

Brian Smith was arrested at 7:58 p.m on W. High St. on a child sup­port warrant.

At 9:20 p.m offi­cer was dis­patched to Lee St. regard­ing loud music but was unable to locate any.

Arrested David Hawk on an active war­rant on S. Delaware St. at 7:08 p.m.

Assisted a man regain entry into his aprt­ment on S. Main St. at 3:55 a.m.

Whilst patrolling on foot at 2:55 a.m a door was found to be unse­cure at the Cherry St. school; it was secured.

April 6

Man reported at 7:30 p.m that some­one had stolen cig­a­rettes from his vehi­cle on April 4 on N. Main St.

At 9:22 p.m a woman advised that two women were harass­ing her regard­ing a hat on Lee St.

A fuel drive off was reported at 2 p.m at the Duke station.

Aided woman in regain­ing entry into her vehi­cle on W. High St. at 1:16 p.m.

April 5

Woman reported at 3:43 p.m that her neigh­bor on Lee St. called her daugh­ter a whore, and threat­ened to shoot her brother. The man denied mak­ing threats and stated she had threat­ened him. The offi­cer advised both par­ties to main­tain their distance.

On Lee St. at 2:40 p.m a woman reported her son’s Ipod Touch miss­ing and that her neigh­bor said he had found one. He refused to let her see it to deter­mine weather it was her son’s. The apart­ment man­ager brought the Ipod to the woman and her son was able to unlock it with his password.

A caller advised of a reck­less dri­ver on W. Mar­ion Rd. at 3:32 p.m. The dri­ver had been eat­ing while dri­ving and was given a warning.

April 4

Whilst patrolling on foot the offi­cers encoun­tered open doors at the high school. Noth­ing was found awry and both doors were secured 11:55 p.m.

Arrested Michael Nichols, Jr. on Dou­glas St. at 6 p.m for bur­glary, three counts of assault­ing a peace offi­cer, resist­ing arrest and assault.

A fuel drive off was reported at the Duke sta­tion at 4:08 p.m

Man on High St. reported a theft from his bank account at 1:25 p.m.

Items were reported stolen from inside a man’s vehi­cle on N. Wal­nut St. at 2:20 p.m.

At 12:46 p.m it was reported that some­one had been inside of a county vehi­cle overnight on N. Wal­nut St.

Woman reported a theft using a credit card on S. Main St. at 12:30 p.m.

At 12:21 p.m a sewer grate was reported stolen from the Drug Mart park­ing lot.

On North Wal­nut at 12:09 a.m a man reported that some­one had been inside his vehi­cle overnight.

Items were reported stolen from a vehi­cle on Rich St. at 11:39 a.m.

A report was received at 11:02 a.m that items were stolen from a vehi­cle on N. Main St.

Inves­ti­gated a accident/rear-ending on W. High St. at 10:18 a.m.

At 10:03 a.m. a woman reported that items were stolen from her vehi­cle on N. Main St.

It was reported at 9:34 a.m that items were taken from inside a vehi­cle overnight on N. Wal­nut St.

Man on E. North St. advised at 9:10 a.m that some­one had rum­maged through his vehicle.

At 9:05 a.m. a man reported belong­ings stolen from his vehi­cle on E. North St. overnight.

Items were reported miss­ing from a man’s vehi­cle on N. Wal­nut St. at 8:37 a.m.

Man advised 5:58 a.m. that some­one had been inside of wife’s vehi­cle on N. Main St. dur­ing the night.

Aided squad in gain­ing entry inside of an apart­ment on S. Delaware St. at 1:58 a.m.

April 3

Checked out a non-injury acci­dent on N. Main St. at 1:00 p.m.

An entrance at the Mer­chant Mall was not secured at 1:32 a.m, after appear­ing okay, the door was secured.

April 2

Man reported at 10:45 p.m that his wal­let had either been stolen or lost on N. Main St.

Assisted the Sheriff’s Office at 5:16 p.m with an alarm drop at the cor­rec­tional facility.

At 2:15 p.m on S. Delaware St. a man advised that he was being harassed by two indi­vid­u­als via Face­book and text mes­sages, he asked the offi­cer to advise the two to cease all con­tact with him.

Vic­tor Williams was arrested and cited on W. Mar­ion Rd. for O.V.I, dri­ving under sus­pen­sion, speed­ing, and pos­ses­sion of mar­i­juana at 6:28 a.m.

Responded with the Sheriff’s Office at 12:55 a.m on Co. Rd. 77 to a pos­si­bly armed man, he was found unarmed.
