May 14 — May 20 –

May 20

1:40 a.m– Woman advised the sta­tion that another woman had asked her to pur­chase pre­scrip­tion med­ica­tion for her ille­gally in Galion. The deal had gone awry and the girl on High St. was now con­cerned that the woman would try to harm her.

7:33 a.m– Cited a man on E. Union St. for dri­ving while under sus­pen­sion and a loud exhaust.

2:30 a.m– Inves­ti­gated a report of a strong gas odor in the area of E. Union St. The source of the smell and leak was dealt with.

May 19

2:07 p.m– Checked out a non-injury crash on E. Union St.

May 18

11:44 p.m– Woman was cited for D.U.S on W. Mar­ion Rd.

7:44 p.m– Cited and released two peo­ple on Iberia St. for pos­ses­sion of mar­i­juana and drug paraphernalia.

11:42 a.m– Man reported items stolen from his vehi­cle overnight on Wal­nut St.

9:50 a.m– Man reported cop­per pipes stolen from inside a house on N. Vine St.

3:59 a.m– While patrolling on foot near a busi­ness on W. Mar­ion Rd. the offi­cer found an entrance that had not been prop­erly secured. Noth­ing was found out of order and man­age­ment was alerted.

May 17

10:04 a.m– Man on Baker St. advised that his neigh­bors were act­ing strange, they were out­side walk­ing at night. The offi­cer advised him that it wasn’t unlaw­ful to be walk­ing at night.

7:17 p.m– Responded a report of harass­ment via text mes­sage on W. Mar­ion St.

9:40 a.m– Woman reported items stolen from her stor­age unit on N. Main St.

12:30 a.m– Assisted a Card­ing­ton offi­cer with a traf­fic stop, the oper­a­tor had an active warrant.

May 16

9:50 p.m– Inves­ti­gated a loud boom sound around Fort Gilead. The offi­cer made con­tact with indi­vid­u­als, but the exact cause and source of the sound remained a mystery.

7:28 p.m– Cited and released Con­nie McClary for theft at Dis­count Drug Mart.

5:16 p.m– Advised older juve­niles at Fort Gilead that the play­ground was for young children.

4:28 p.m– Arrested Tara Meyer on Lin­coln Ave. on an active war­rant from Mt. Gilead’s Mayor’s Court.

4:17 p.m– Report was made of a large plas­tic object block­ing the road in front of McDon­alds on W. Mar­ion Rd., upon arrival the object was gone.

May 15

9:44 p.m– Man on E. North St. reported find­ing a debit card out­side of his apart­ment, the offi­cer was able to restore the card back to its owner.

8:57 p.m– Woman on E. Mar­ion St. was advised to tell a man to end con­tact with her, after she reported he was mak­ing threats towards her via text.

6:45 p.m– Galion P.D requested con­tact be made with a woman on W. Union St. Con­tact was made and the mes­sage relayed.

10:35 a.m– Con­ducted a well being check on a woman on E. Cedar St.

May 14

6:40 p.m– Helped medi­ate an issue between ex spouses on Iberia St.

4:55 p.m– Attempted to make con­tact with a woman on W. Union St. per the Galion P.D.

4:45 p.m– A theft from a vehi­cle was reported on Park Ave.

11:25 a.m– Man on West­view Dr. claimed that his mother-in-law would not relin­quish his step-daughter to him. The offi­cer advised that he could noth­ing because the man was not the bio­log­i­cal father and did not have paper­work stat­ing he had custody.

11:30 a.m– Man reported hit­ting a util­ity pole on W. Mar­ion Rd.

10:34 a.m– Man on Baker St. was unhappy that his apart­ment neigh­bor had vis­i­tors over. The offi­cer advised that his neigh­bor was allowed to receive visitors.

8:50 a.m– The man­ager at Drug Mart reported that some­one had sprayed paint on sev­eral cans inside the store.

1:39 a.m– Dis­patched to a domes­tic dis­pute on Lee St. Both par­ties involved stated that there was phys­i­cal alter­ca­tion or threats made.
