Lopez, 16, was in seri­ous con­di­tion Tues­day, June 19, 2012, at Jack­son Memo­r­ial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Cen­ter. Hos­pi­tal offi­cials say one of Lopez’s friends was load­ing a spear­gun when it acci­den­tally fired.
