MOAC recognizes top spring athletes

All-conference teams were recently announced by the Mid-Ohio Ath­letic Con­fer­ence for base­ball and softball.

Six local base­ball play­ers were given first-team recog­ni­tion. Senior Ron­nie Thomas and junior Zach Wise­man received this honor for North­mor; while seniors Jason Hertz and Cade Ran­dolph did for High­land. Also being named to the first team were Card­ing­ton senior K.C. Brown and Mount Gilead fresh­man Xavier Harris.

Two ath­letes from both Mount Gilead and High­land were named to the first team in soft­ball. Seniors Cay­lor Arnold and Baylee Smith were so rec­og­nized for the Indi­ans; while seniors Cassie Brown and Kenzi Rhodes earned that recog­ni­tion for the Scots. Also being named to the first team was Card­ing­ton senior Sophie Noe.
