Zeigler takes second in HOJGA meet

Gilead Christian’s Jason Zeigler placed in a tie for second in the Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association’s sixth tournament, which was held at Green Acres (Marion) on Thursday.
T.J. Cowans of Big Walnut shot 60 to finish at even par for first place. Zeigler, Alec Oney of Upper Sandusky and Michael Powers of Wynford all shot 62 to tie for second place.
In the 13–15 age group, Colin Chapman of River Valley placed first with a score of 65. Taking second was River Valley’s Alexis Reichardt, who shot 70. Dustin Sites of Pleasant took third with a 72.
The 12-and-under class was won by Kameron Hall of Grant, who topped David Chapman of River Valley in a playoff. Both shot 37 over nine holes, but Hall birdied the first playoff hole to take the win. Third went to Brett Montgomery of Upper Sandusky, who shot 40.
