Cardington boy competes on AAU team

A fourth grade AAU bas­ket­ball team com­prised of Mar­ion City and other local ath­letes had a tremen­dous spring and summer.

The team par­tic­i­pated in many events, hgh­lighted by win­ning both the reg­u­lar sea­son and tour­na­ment cham­pi­onships in a fifth/sixth grade league in Antwerp.

The team also con­cluded the sum­mer with a fifth place fin­ish at a national AYBT tour­na­ment in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Mar­ion City was rep­re­sented by Ali­jah Arnold, Jor­dyn Jury, Ried Jury, Mitch Myers and Daniel Stim­son while Brian Col­lier (Pleas­ant), Logan Houle (Holy Trin­ity), Bran­don Lev­er­ing (River Val­ley), and Cay­man Spires (Card­ing­ton) were season-long team members.

Tobias Thompson-Reece, Davyion Simms and Joey Hamon of Mar­ion City par­tic­i­pated in spring and sum­mer events as well.
