Mt. Gilead Police Reports 7-23 thru 7-29

7/29/12

8:25 p.m– Inves­ti­gated an alarm drop on S. Main St. No sound alarm was heard by the offi­cer. After check­ing, the offi­cer dis­cov­ered that the screech­ing sound was being made by a par­rot next door.

6:13 p.m– Cited and released a woman on E. Union St. for assault.

10:43 a.m– Inves­ti­gated an injury acci­dent on W. High St.

5:10 a.m– While patrolling on foot an entrance was found to be improp­erly secured on Dou­glas St.

1:42 a.m– Was flagged down on W. High St. to help regain con­trol of a canine run­ning at large.

1:24 a.m– Checked out a pos­si­ble dis­pute on W. Mar­ion Rd. The man advised he was dis­ci­plin­ing his dog.

12:21 a.m– Con­tacted a sus­pi­cious per­son on W. High St. that has been known to get into trou­ble. He advised that he was just walk­ing to a shop.

7/28/12

10:31 p.m– Secured an entrance on W. Mar­ion Rd. Every­thing appeared ok.

10:10 p.m– Inves­ti­gated a report of fire­works being set off on Lee St.

7:37 p.m– While patrolling on foot, secured a door on Bank St.

4:30 p.m– Arrived on Park Ave. after a woman reported that her children’s father would not give her the kids. The offi­cer advised both to either seek legal coun­sel or work it out between themselves.

5:12 p.m– Assisted EMS on Lin­coln Ave.

12:20 p.m– Man on W. Mar­ion Rd. reported he was involved in a non injury crash.

11:35 a.m– A non injury acci­dent was reported on W. Mar­ion Rd.

4:11 a.m– Assisted Edi­son P.D with a drug related traf­fic stop.

7/27/12

8:58 p.m– Checked out a 911 hang up on W. High St.

8:44 p.m– Man on W. High St. reported that a woman per­sisted in call­ing him after he asked her to stop. Offi­cer con­tacted the woman and advised her of his wishes.

4:15 p.m– Woman on W. Mar­ion Rd. reported that she was the vic­tim of a scam.

4:56 p.m– Checked out an alarm drop on South St., upon arrival all doors were found to be secure.

2:24 a.m– Con­tacted a man, woman, and their chil­dren on S. Main St. The man advised that he was wait­ing for a man to “set­tle things” after the man called him a back­stab­ber. The man was advised to return home.

7/26/12

10:47 p.m– Inves­ti­gated a report of juve­niles yelling and tear­ing down a brick wall on E. North St. The juve­niles advised that keys had been lost within cracks in the wall and when a brick was moved the whole wall was knocked down.

5:06 p.m– Arrested a man on N. Main St. on a civil war­rant out of Munic­i­pal Court.

5:37 a.m– Inves­ti­gated a hit-skip non injury acci­dent on W. Mar­ion Rd.

2:33 a.m– Made con­tact with a sus­pi­cious vehi­cle in front of a busi­ness on Iberia St. The dri­ver advised that he was an employee.

9:29 p.m– Cited woman on Grant St. for no license plate light and addi­tional charges pend­ing on lab results.

7/25/12

1:42 p.m– Kroger staff reported two sus­pi­cious peo­ple who came into the store mul­ti­ple times.

9:23 a.m– Responded to a domes­tic dis­pute on W. Mar­ion St.

11:36 a.m– Advised a dog owner on Wil­low Lane that their dog was bark­ing too much.

6:32 a.m– Checked out a 911 hang up on Buck­eye Lane.

12:42 a.m– Cited a woman on N. Main St. for dri­ving under suspension.

7/24/12

9:30 p.m– Woman on Lee St. reported a large crowd fight­ing. Upon arrival no fight was located. The woman was intox­i­cated and was unsure why she called police. She advised to stay inside.

11:35 a.m– Duke staff reported a fuel drive off.

2:19 a.m– A fuel theft and pos­si­ble iden­tity theft was reported at the Duke station.

12:17 a.m– Checked out a noise com­plaint on Lee St.

7/23/12

3:07 p.m– A fuel drive off was reported at the Duke station.

2:40 p.m– Deliv­ered a mes­sage to a woman on Park Ave. for the Galion P.D.

12:52 p.m– Advised par­ties involved in a domes­tic dis­pute on Lin­coln Ave. that they should stay away from one another.

6:05 a.m– Man on W. High St. reported that his ex wife was harass­ing he and his fiance via phone calls and texts. The woman was advised to dis­con­tinue her con­tact with her ex husband.

2:21 a.m– Con­tacted two men walk­ing on N. Main St. The offi­cer requested con­sent to search. Both men denied consent.
