Mt. Gilead Police Reports 7-23 thru 7-29
7/29/12
8:25 p.m– Investigated an alarm drop on S. Main St. No sound alarm was heard by the officer. After checking, the officer discovered that the screeching sound was being made by a parrot next door.
6:13 p.m– Cited and released a woman on E. Union St. for assault.
10:43 a.m– Investigated an injury accident on W. High St.
5:10 a.m– While patrolling on foot an entrance was found to be improperly secured on Douglas St.
1:42 a.m– Was flagged down on W. High St. to help regain control of a canine running at large.
1:24 a.m– Checked out a possible dispute on W. Marion Rd. The man advised he was disciplining his dog.
12:21 a.m– Contacted a suspicious person on W. High St. that has been known to get into trouble. He advised that he was just walking to a shop.
7/28/12
10:31 p.m– Secured an entrance on W. Marion Rd. Everything appeared ok.
10:10 p.m– Investigated a report of fireworks being set off on Lee St.
7:37 p.m– While patrolling on foot, secured a door on Bank St.
4:30 p.m– Arrived on Park Ave. after a woman reported that her children’s father would not give her the kids. The officer advised both to either seek legal counsel or work it out between themselves.
5:12 p.m– Assisted EMS on Lincoln Ave.
12:20 p.m– Man on W. Marion Rd. reported he was involved in a non injury crash.
11:35 a.m– A non injury accident was reported on W. Marion Rd.
4:11 a.m– Assisted Edison P.D with a drug related traffic stop.
7/27/12
8:58 p.m– Checked out a 911 hang up on W. High St.
8:44 p.m– Man on W. High St. reported that a woman persisted in calling him after he asked her to stop. Officer contacted the woman and advised her of his wishes.
4:15 p.m– Woman on W. Marion Rd. reported that she was the victim of a scam.
4:56 p.m– Checked out an alarm drop on South St., upon arrival all doors were found to be secure.
2:24 a.m– Contacted a man, woman, and their children on S. Main St. The man advised that he was waiting for a man to “settle things” after the man called him a backstabber. The man was advised to return home.
7/26/12
10:47 p.m– Investigated a report of juveniles yelling and tearing down a brick wall on E. North St. The juveniles advised that keys had been lost within cracks in the wall and when a brick was moved the whole wall was knocked down.
5:06 p.m– Arrested a man on N. Main St. on a civil warrant out of Municipal Court.
5:37 a.m– Investigated a hit-skip non injury accident on W. Marion Rd.
2:33 a.m– Made contact with a suspicious vehicle in front of a business on Iberia St. The driver advised that he was an employee.
9:29 p.m– Cited woman on Grant St. for no license plate light and additional charges pending on lab results.

1:42 p.m– Kroger staff reported two suspicious people who came into the store multiple times.
9:23 a.m– Responded to a domestic dispute on W. Marion St.
11:36 a.m– Advised a dog owner on Willow Lane that their dog was barking too much.
6:32 a.m– Checked out a 911 hang up on Buckeye Lane.
12:42 a.m– Cited a woman on N. Main St. for driving under suspension.
7/24/12
9:30 p.m– Woman on Lee St. reported a large crowd fighting. Upon arrival no fight was located. The woman was intoxicated and was unsure why she called police. She advised to stay inside.
11:35 a.m– Duke staff reported a fuel drive off.
2:19 a.m– A fuel theft and possible identity theft was reported at the Duke station.
12:17 a.m– Checked out a noise complaint on Lee St.
7/23/12
3:07 p.m– A fuel drive off was reported at the Duke station.
2:40 p.m– Delivered a message to a woman on Park Ave. for the Galion P.D.
12:52 p.m– Advised parties involved in a domestic dispute on Lincoln Ave. that they should stay away from one another.
6:05 a.m– Man on W. High St. reported that his ex wife was harassing he and his fiance via phone calls and texts. The woman was advised to discontinue her contact with her ex husband.
2:21 a.m– Contacted two men walking on N. Main St. The officer requested consent to search. Both men denied consent.
