Saturday crash prompts search for victims
By Randa Wagner –
An early Saturday crash in Morrow County prompted a search for the accident victims.
Mt. Gilead Post 95 of the Highway Patrol reports Adam Hosey, 32, lost control of his 2005 Chevy Camaro and struck a tree on State Route 61 south of CR 115. When officers arrived on the scene, the vehicle was empty.
Morrow County Sheriff Steve Brenneman reports deputies from his office, the Mt. Gilead Police Department, the State Patrol and Mt. Gilead’s K-9 unit searched for the occupants. The sheriff’s office received a call from a resident in the 4000 block of SR 61 who reported a bleeding man and young girl sitting in a golf cart in his barn. When officers arrived, the pair was gone in the golf cart. An OSP helicopter located Hosey and his four-year-old daughter walking on CR 115 about a mile from where the crash occurred.
The Patrol reports Hosey was transported to Grant Medical Center for a broken arm and released. His daughter also was treated for minor wounds.
The incident is still under investigation and possible charges could be filed.
