Traffic flow on CR 97 to be restricted Sunday

The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office is announcing a traffic flow change for this Sunday in the area of Mid-Ohio racetrack.

At the request of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and with the approval of Morrow County Engineer Randy Bush, traffic on Morrow County Road 37 (Lexington-Steam Corners Road) will be restricted on Sunday, August 5. Starting at about 2:30 pm, traffic on CR 37 will be one-way heading west from Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course to State Route 314. Traffic to the east of Mid-Ohio on CR 37 will maintain two-way traffic between Lexington and Mid-Ohio.

The purpose for this traffic change is to get traffic out of Mid-Ohio as quickly as possible. One-way traffic will be maintained until the majority of the traffic has left Mid-Ohio. Normal traffic flow will be restored as quickly as possible and will last no later than 7:00 PM. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio State Highway Patrol will assist with directing traffic.

It is hoped that residents will understand the need for this temporary change and make appropriate arrangements.
