New antique store caters to your wish list

“I’ve always liked antiques, home decorating, and anything vintage.” said Lisa Marsell who owns Marsell Antiques with her husband Jim.
A resident of Cardington, Lisa decided to open up the location on St. Rt. 95 west so that she would have somewhere to sell her collectibles. The shop boasts a large collection of antiques, pottery, Americana, jewelry, western belt buckles, furniture and Swan Creek Candles.
Lisa and Kris Moore, who also works at the shop, explained if customers are looking for something in particular they can fill out a “wish list” form of what they’re looking for. Then when Lisa goes shopping, she can look for whatever items have been requested.
“If people are looking for something we try to find it,” Lisa explained that most people can’t travel far out of their community looking for special items.
Later hours and location have definitely helped business, explained Lisa, as people can shop after work and can easily drop by from the road.
Beginning in November the entire store will be stocked with Christmas items. In December the store will be open seven days a week from 10–7 p.m till Christmas. Grapevine Christmas trees will also be in stock in small and large sizes.
