Brian D. Castle

Brian David Cas­tle, age 22, of Card­ing­ton died Sat­ur­day Sep­tem­ber 15, 2012 at River­side Hos­pi­tal. He was born Novem­ber 21, 1989 in Mount Gilead, Ohio to David and Retha Jean (Hite) Cas­tle, both sur­vive in Card­ing­ton, Ohio.

Brian was a 2008 grad­u­ate of Cardington-Lincoln High School and an avid Ohio State Foot­ball and Bas­ket­ball fan. In addi­tional to OSU sports, Brian loved watch­ing his brother play foot­ball, enjoyed play­ing cards and loved spend­ing time with fam­ily and friends.

In addi­tion to his par­ents, Brian is sur­vived by his Grand­fa­ther, William “Bud” Cas­tle of Card­ing­ton; Grand­par­ents, Robert and Judy Hite of Edi­son and his brother Tyler L. Cas­tle of Card­ing­ton, numer­ous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Brian’s Grand­mother, Mary (Greenawalt) Cas­tle pre­ceded him in death.

Friends may call Thurs­day Sep­tem­ber 20 at the Gompf Funeral Home, 440 South Cen­ter Street in Card­ing­ton from 2–4 and 6–8 p.m. Brian’s funeral ser­vice will be held on Fri­day Sep­tem­ber 21 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pas­tor Ray LaSalle offi­ci­at­ing; bur­ial to fol­low in Glen­dale Cemetery.

In lieu of flow­ers, memo­r­ial con­tri­bu­tions may be made to the fam­ily in care of the funeral home to assist with Brian’s funeral expenses.
