Charles W. Morris

Charles W. Mor­ris, age 75 of Marengo, died Fri­day evening August 31, 2012 at Kobacker House in Columbus.

He was born on Novem­ber 21, 1936 in Park­ers­burg, WV to the late Arthur M. and Stella (Doughty) Mor­ris. He was a retired welder for the for­mer Kin­n­ear Rolling Door Com­pany and Bud Corp. He was a mem­ber of North­gate Com­mu­nity Church.

Charles was a very pre­cise man, if any­thing was out of place he would notice and insist it be right. Charles enjoyed wood­work­ing mak­ing what­ever you asked for in wood and he also enjoyed welding

He is sur­vived by his wife of 54 years: Willa Jarvis Mor­ris and they were mar­ried Decem­ber 28, 1957 in Rich­mond, IN.; daugh­ter: Teresa Ann (Ronald) Gar­linger of Marengo, grand­chil­dren: Amber (Weston) Brubaker of Sun­bury, Adam (Kelly) Gar­linger of Marengo; great grand­son: Ben­jamin Thomas Brubaker.

He was pre­ceded in death by brother: Wal­ter; sis­ters: Ivy Friewald, Viv­ion Fra­zier, Lil­lian Potter.

Friends may call Mon­day from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Devore-Snyder Funeral Home. SR 3 at 61, Sun­bury with ser­vices fol­low­ing at 1 p.m. with Pas­tor Bill Stephens offi­ci­at­ing. Grave­side ser­vices will be held Tues­day 1 p.m. at the Oak Grove Memo­r­ial Park, Lexington.

Memo­r­ial con­tri­bu­tions can be made to the fam­ily to assist with final expenses.
