New insurance office in Cardington

Card­ing­ton has a new insur­ance agency. Sun­shine Insur­ance Agency, Inc., at 114 West Main Street, Unit A, is the third office to be opened by this agency.

The local agent, Jeff Youngs, said the com­pany was founded in 1980 in Upper San­dusky by Eric Troiano and opened a sec­ond office in Prospect in 2000. He related there are 900 clients of the Prospect office.

“We learned there was no insur­ance agency in Card­ing­ton so we began search­ing and found this site,” said Youngs, who has been with the agency for 12 years.

All lines of insur­ance are offered includ­ing auto, home, farm, ATV, motor­cy­cle, Medicare, Flood, Life and Com­mer­cial Insur­ance. The agency rep­re­sents AAA Insur­ance, Auto Own­ers Insur­ance, Fore­most Insur­ance, Ger­man Mutual In-surance, Motorists Mutual Insur­ance and Pro­gres­sive Insurance.

Cur­rent hours of the office are 9 am to 5 pm Mon­day, Wednes­day and Friday.

To bet­ter acquaint the pub­lic with the office, a grand open­ing will be held on Wednes­day, Octo­ber 3, with hot dogs, bratwurst and bev­er­ages served from 11 am to 1 pm. The office will be open from 9 am to 5 pm. Youngs said there will also be a radio remote from WMRN 95 FM.
