Local Tea Party to host Meet the Candidates night next month

The Mor­row County TEA Party (a non-partisan orga­ni­za­tion) and oth­ers are host­ing “Meet the Candidates.”

The National, State, and Local Can­di­dates that have been invited are:

For Pres­i­dent: Barack H. Obama(D) and Gov­er­nor Mitt Romney®

For U.S. Sen­a­tor: Sher­rod Brown (D) and Josh Mandel ®

For U.S. Rep­re­sen­ta­tive: 12th DISTRICT Pat Tiberi ® and Jim Reese (D)

For State Sen­a­tor 26th Dis­trict: Dave Burke ® and Tanyce Addi­son (D)

For State Rep­re­sen­ta­tive 87th Dis­trict: Jeff McClain ® and Jef­frey Lehart (D)

For County Commissioner-Unexpired Term End­ing 12/31/2014: Thomas E. Whis­ton ® and John P. Gersper (D)

For County Com­mis­sioner –Term 01/02/2013: Tom E. Harden ® unopposed

Any can­di­date who can­not attend is wel­come to send a representative.

This spe­cial event will be Octo­ber 15, 2012, 7:00 p.m., at the Card­ing­ton Lin­coln High School Audi­to­rium, 349 Chester­ville Avenue, Card­ing­ton, Ohio. Each can­di­date will be given time to make a state­ment. After all can­di­dates have pre­sented their rea­sons why “We the Peo­ple” should vote for them, there will be ques­tions from the floor. All voting-eligible cit­i­zens are urged to attend. It is impor­tant to turn out to vote and that our elec­torate be informed voters.

The Mis­sion of the Mor­row County TEA Party is to secure pub­lic pol­icy con­sis­tent with our three core val­ues of Con­sti­tu­tion­ally Lim­ited Gov­ern­ment, Fis­cal Respon­si­bil­ity, and Free Markets.

    I found it curi­ous that the last sen­tence of the arti­cle, –“The Mis­sion.…..is to secure pub­lic pol­icy con­sis­tent with our three core val­ues of Con­sti­tu­tion­ally Lim­ited Gov­ern­ment, Fis­cal Respon­si­bil­ity, and Free Mar­kets.”– used “our three core val­ues…” and not “their three core values.….”.

    Is this arti­cle a state­ment being made by the Sen­tinel, or an adver­tise­ment placed by the MCTP?
