Robert E. Cothern Jr.
Robert E. (Bobby) Cothern, age 42 of Mount Gilead, died Tuesday morning September 4, 2012 at his residence.
He was born on October 24, 1969 in Columbus to the late Robert E. Cothern and Betty (Gillman) Verdine. A 1988 graduate of Highland High School and had worked as an Aid for Morning View and Woodside Village and stocker for Kroger.
Robert loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed watching monster movies, playing video games and staying in contact with his friends on Facebook.
He is survived by his wife: Loretta (Middaugh) Cothern and they were married april 18, 1991 in Mount Gilead; son: Guy Cothern of Mount Gilead; daughter: Audrey (Jon) Butchko of Canton; grandchildren: Lillyan and Dustin; sisters: Dani (Charles) Rice of Paducka, KY, Lynn (Jerry) Coleman of Columbus; grandmother: Ruth Cothern of Marengo, and uncle: Tim Cothern of Marengo.
Calling hours will not be observed and burial will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Marengo.

And what this did not say is how much fun my brother was to be around. He was always joking, laughing. He loved teasing people just to get a rise out of them. He loved music, loved his family..loved his friends. No one could be angry around him, it was just impossible. He somehow always found a way to make light in even the darkest of times.
He will be missed so very much. And I hope I will never stop hearing his laughter or imagining his grin.
