Scot VB still perfect in league

High­land got off to a good start last week in vol­ley­ball, as they topped Ridgedale 25–15, 25–15, 25–20 in Mid-Ohio Ath­letic Con­fer­ence action on Tuesday.

Kam Terry fin­ished with 13 kills, eight digs and four aces; while Macy Winkelfoos picked up 12 kills and 10 digs. Also, Addie Franklin mus­tered four kills.

The Scots claimed another league win on Thurs­day, as they topped North Union 20–25, 25–23, 25–20, 25–12.

Terry fin­ished with 22 kills, six aces and 23 digs; while Car­ley Gahm fin­ished with 20 assists. Also, Lexi Winkelfoos added 16 assists and 12 digs.

High­land would then win one of three matches at the Granville Tour­na­ment. New Albany beat the Scots 25–22, 28–26 and Ridge­wood took a 25–15, 25–16 win. The Scots then beat North­ridge by a 25–11, 25–23 score. The team cur­rently has a 7–5 record and is 4–0 in con­fer­ence play.

Terry fin­ished the day with 36 kills and five aces, while Macy Win­kle­foos added 16 kills.

The 9–3 JV team also went 1–2 dur­ing the day at the tournament.

North­mor Knights

Northmor’s week started out with a three-game loss to Buck­eye Val­ley on Tues­day. The Barons took the con­test by scores of 25–13, 25–16 and 25–18.

Allie Tupps was 14–14 with three aces serv­ing and 70–71 set­ting with 13 assists. Alisha Pletcher added five kills on 13–15 hit­ting and also had three blocks.

Lau­ren Bood fin­ished with five kills on 14–15 hit­ting, while Shel­bie Wise­man con­tributed 12 digs.

The Knights then lost to Pleas­ant, also in three games, on Thursday.

Chelsea Trainer fin­ished 7–7 serv­ing with one ace, while Wise­man fin­ished 7–7 serv­ing and added six digs. Kylee Keller also tal­lied six digs in the contest.

Tupps picked up 14 assists on 71–71 serv­ing, while also get­ting seven digs. Also, Han­nah Lib­erti was 13–13 hit­ting with four kills, Bood was 6–7 hit­ting with three kills and Pletcher was 17–22 hit­ting with five kills.

On Sat­ur­day, North­mor dropped a 23–25, 19–25, 22–25 deci­sion to Elgin to fall to 4–4 on the season.

Pletcher was 22–26 hit­ting with 10 kills and added six blocks. Lib­erti added seven kills on 16–20 hit­ting, while Kelsey Reeder and Wise­man both had nine digs. Wise­man also had two aces on 10–10 serving.

Tupps fin­ished with 28 assists on 85–86 set­ting and had two aces on 14–14 serving.
