Vernon R. Wright
Vernon R. Wright, 66 of Sebring FL, formerly of Candle wood Lake, Mt. Gilead OH, spirit left his body on September 8, 2012.
He was born in Wausau, Wisconsin where he graduated from Wausau High School in 1965. After High School he entered the US Air Force in 1967 and was honorable discharged in 1971 as a staff sergeant and worked as a crew chief on fighter jets during the Viet Nam war. In 1972, he started working for Zimpro Inc., a water pollution control company, with equipment all over the world. During his employment as an equipment startup technician, it gave him an opportunity to travel to all 50 states and many foreign countries. Retiring in 2005, from Zimpro, he settled in Sebring FL Retirement gave him time to do what he loved, fishing; square dancing, gardening and playing bridge.
He left behind his loving wife, Janet Johnson, two sons from a previous marriage, Scott (Orlando FL), Jason along with grandson Parker, two older sisters, Beverley Lang and Sandy Turzinski, and a younger brother Brian, all from Wisconsin.
A memorial service will be held Saturday September 29, at the Main Lodge at Candlewood Lake, 7326 St. Rt. 19, Mt. Gilead. Visitation will be at 1 pm, Services at 2 pm with Pastor Danny Akers officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to Candlewood Lake Fishing and Boating Club, Hicks & Chicks Western Square Dance Club, or for a memorial tree to be planted at Candlewood Lake.
