Vernon R. Wright

Ver­non R. Wright, 66 of Sebring FL, for­merly of Can­dle wood Lake, Mt. Gilead OH, spirit left his body on Sep­tem­ber 8, 2012.

He was born in Wausau, Wis­con­sin where he grad­u­ated from Wausau High School in 1965. After High School he entered the US Air Force in 1967 and was hon­or­able dis­charged in 1971 as a staff sergeant and worked as a crew chief on fighter jets dur­ing the Viet Nam war. In 1972, he started work­ing for Zim­pro Inc., a water pol­lu­tion con­trol com­pany, with equip­ment all over the world. Dur­ing his employ­ment as an equip­ment startup tech­ni­cian, it gave him an oppor­tu­nity to travel to all 50 states and many for­eign coun­tries. Retir­ing in 2005, from Zim­pro, he set­tled in Sebring FL Retire­ment gave him time to do what he loved, fish­ing; square danc­ing, gar­den­ing and play­ing bridge.

He left behind his lov­ing wife, Janet John­son, two sons from a pre­vi­ous mar­riage, Scott (Orlando FL), Jason along with grand­son Parker, two older sis­ters, Bev­er­ley Lang and Sandy Turzin­ski, and a younger brother Brian, all from Wisconsin.

A memo­r­ial ser­vice will be held Sat­ur­day Sep­tem­ber 29, at the Main Lodge at Can­dle­wood Lake, 7326 St. Rt. 19, Mt. Gilead. Vis­i­ta­tion will be at 1 pm, Ser­vices at 2 pm with Pas­tor Danny Akers offi­ci­at­ing. In lieu of flow­ers memo­r­ial con­tri­bu­tions, if desired, may be made to Can­dle­wood Lake Fish­ing and Boat­ing Club, Hicks & Chicks West­ern Square Dance Club, or for a memo­r­ial tree to be planted at Can­dle­wood Lake.
