Walter B. Fisher
Walter B. “Wally” Fisher, age 50, of Marengo, passed away Monday, September 3, 2012 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. Wally was born January 20, 1962, in Columbus, to the late George H. Fisher and Blondena D. Spears Fisher.
Wally was a Marengo resident for more than 40 years. He worked for Ray Ziegler Heating & Cooling and was a member of Fulton Crossroads Church of the Nazarene. An outdoor enthusiast, Wally enjoyed hunting, fishing, building hot rods and 4 X 4 off-road and creek riding.
A hard working man, Wally was loving and family oriented. Always thoughtful to others, he gave far more than he ever asked for. Very creative, his mind was always churning about what his next project would be.
Wally is survived by his loving wife Brenda Kuykendall Fisher; daughter Michelle Kuykendall of Marion; sons Brandon Fisher (Leslie Sherman) of Marengo, Brian Kuykendall of Columbus, Walter Fisher Jr. and Shannon (Anna) Fisher, all of Marietta, GA; brothers Mike and George; sisters Cindy, Debbie and Selina; 11 grandchildren, including his pride and joy and Gator partner, Carson; as well as special friends Neil, Ruth, Brent, Jack, Karen, Rosie Hayes and his beloved dog, Angel.
Visitation will be 2–4 PM & 6–8 PM Friday at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 229, Marengo where funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday with Pastor Joyce Burgess presiding. Interment will follow in Marengo Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
