Briar Patch in Mt. Gilead reopens

Just in time for the upcom­ing hol­i­days, the Briar Patch gift shop in Mt. Gilead has reopened.

Owner Kel­lie Howard says they have repainted, includ­ing some burlap on the walls, changed the floor plan, and rented out spaces in the shop for new ven­dors. One ven­dor fea­tures more prim­i­tive pieces and one fea­tures antiques.

“We’ve been sell­ing a lot of Christ­mas and hol­i­day items already,” Howard notes. The minia­ture ‘wil­low’ branch trees has been sell­ing quickly as well.

The Briar Patch, located at 42 S. Main Street, is open Wednes­day, Thurs­day and Fri­day 11 a.m. — 6 p.m.; Sat­ur­day 11 a.m. — 5 p.m.; and closed Sun­day, Mon­day and Tuesday.
