John C. Staley

John C. Sta­ley, 75 of McConnelsville, died on Sat­ur­day, Oct. 20, 2012 at 4:45 A.M. at his home sur­rounded by his family.

He was born on Nov. 14, 1936 in Johnsville, Ohio to the late Mil­ton C. and Laura Ziegler Sta­ley. He was the CEO of Cit­i­zens Bank Com­pany and Musk­ingum Val­ley Bank Shares in Bev­erly, Ohio. He served his coun­try in the U.S. Air Force and was of the Church of Christ faith.

He is sur­vived by his wife, Esper­anza “Hope” Del­gado Sta­ley of the home, a daugh­ter, Theresa Sta­ley Vaughn of McConnelsville, brother, Jerry C. Sta­ley of Utica, sis­ter, Mary (Mark) Dar­ling of New Albany, grand­chil­dren, Devan and Pey­ton Vaughn, brother-in-law, Joseph (Rita) Del­gado of Sacra­mento, Cal., sister-in-law, Socorro (Felix) Luna of Chan­dler, AZ., and sev­eral nieces and nephews.

He is pre­ceded in death by his par­ents, brother Ken­neth Sta­ley and a nephew. There will be a pri­vate fam­ily ser­vice at the Meigsville Ceme­tery and a memo­r­ial ser­vice will be held at a later date and time. In lieu of flow­ers dona­tions may be made to the Amer­i­can Can­cer Society.
