John F. McClung

John F. McClung, age 57, of Card­ing­ton, went to be reunited with his wife on Octo­ber 11, 2012. He was born on Sep­tem­ber 6, 1955 in Wheel­ing, West Vir­ginia to James C. McClung who is deceased and his mother Mary Rose (Whyte) McClung who sur­vives in Columbus.

On May 13, 1978 he mar­ried Lori Ann Lebreck, and she pre­ceded him in death ear­lier this year

John was a mas­ter home ren­o­va­tor, own­ing his own con­struc­tion com­pany W.C. Stumbo. He enjoyed mak­ing fur­ni­ture and spend­ing time with his fam­ily. He was a 1973 grad­u­ate of Whet­stone High School in Columbus

Sur­vivors include their chil­dren: Rebecca Blevins of Card­ing­ton, Der­rick McClung of Mar­ion and Blake McClung of Card­ing­ton; 3 grand­chil­dren: Adri­anna McClung, Isabel and Lun­dyn Blevins; his sib­lings: Mike McClung of Colum­bus, Kathy McClung of Raleigh, NC, James (Kristi) McClung of St. Charles, MO, and Linda (Bob) Huhn of Franklin, Mass.

John was pre­ceded in death by his father and beloved wife, Lori.

Friends and fam­ily may call Tues­day, Octo­ber 16, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Gompf Funeral Home, 440 South Cen­ter Street, Card­ing­ton, where funeral ser­vices will begin promptly at 1:00 PM. The bur­ial will fol­low in Glendale-Union Ceme­tery in Cardington.

To honor the won­der­ful care his nurse Rita pro­vided, the McClung fam­ily would like memo­r­ial dona­tions to be made to Mar­ion Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal Hos­pice, 278 Barks Road West, Mar­ion, OH. 43302.
