MG Preschoolers learn about fire safety
By Taylor Kaser –
Last Wednesday the Mt. Gilead Fire Department visited the Park Avenue Elementary to talk about fire safety with two Preschool classes.
The fire fighters urged students to learn memorize their home addresses. To simulate a smoke filled house, kids practiced staying low while they crawled under a blanket. One fire fighter dressed in his full fire gear, so kids can see what they look like when they come to rescue you.
Outside the kids checked out the truck. They watched as the ladder extended, saw the hoses, and even got to climb in the cab.
