Ora P. Stockton
Ora “Patsy” Stockton, age 93 formerly of Edison, died early Sunday morning, October 28, 2012 at the Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born on October 12, 1919 in Harlan County, KY to the late John Jess and Angie Elizabeth (Scott) Saylor.
Ora married her husband, Johnny Raymond Stockton in 1957 in Huntsville, Alabama and he preceded her in death on February 17, 1986.
Ora worked at the Sunbeam Factory for 25 years in Chicago, Ill. before she and her husband moved to Edison. She attended At His Feet Christian Church in Mt. Gilead.
Ora is survived by a son, Dan (Patricia) Saylor of Heath; 1 brother, Henry Saylor of Galion; 5 grandchildren, John (Brandy) Saylor, Clint (Lisa) Threewitt, Laura (Chris) Goodwin, Walter (Jenny) Saylor and Brandon (Sara) Schirtzinger; 12 great-grandchildren, Tanna (Shawn) Castle, Zacharie Barnhart, Briana Threewitt, Riley Ann Saylor, Kiera Barnhart, Isabella Saylor, Briana Schirtzinger, Scarlett Schirtzinger, L.C. Goodwin, Emily Schirtzinger, Maia Saylor, and Taryn Saylor; and 1 great-great-grandchild, Leeum Castle, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ora was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Hayes and Howard Saylor, 1 sister, Clara Blanton, and 1 great-grandchild, Anthony Barnhart.
Friends may call Tuesday evening October 30, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Gompf Funeral Home in Cardington where the funeral service will begin at 8:00PM. Pastor Art Wooddell of At His Feet Christian Church will officiate.
