For three hours a portion of the purchases made at MacDonald’s Restaurant, Mount Gilead, was designated for Cardington-Lincoln Senior Courtney Robinson.
“Support for Court,” was the theme of the drive which designated 15 percent of each purchase made during that three hour period be made to the cause for the varsity cheerleader who is undergoing treatment following surgery to remove a brain tumor.
A total of $736.58 was raised, said Chad Hobbs, manager of the restaurant.
“I just would like to say that it was really encouraging to see the community come together like they have for Courtney,” said Hobbs. “You always hear the negatives of living in a small town but when something like this happens, Cardington and the surrounding communities have come together and showed what we can accomplish when we come together.”
