GED Test available at Mt. Gilead Library this Friday

Did you need to earn a GED? Do you think you have the skills nec­es­sary to pass the test? If you answered yes, here is your oppor­tu­nity to find out if you do. The Mar­ion Tech­ni­cal Col­lege ABLE pro­gram will offer­ing an oppor­tu­nity to take the Offi­cial GED Prac­tice Test at no charge. The test­ing will be held at the Mount Gilead Pub­lic Library on Fri­day, Novem­ber 16 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Any­one inter­ested in par­tic­i­pat­ing should call 740–389-4636 ext. 410 or 1–877-389‑2253 by Thurs­day, Novem­ber 15 to reserve a spot.

In 2014, a new form of the GED test will be intro­duced. At that time, test­ing will be done only by using the com­puter. The cost for the new test and the dif­fi­culty of the test are expected to increase. Every­one is encour­aged to start prepar­ing now and com­plete the cur­rent form of the test by Decem­ber, 2013! For fur­ther infor­ma­tion, call 740–389-4636 ext. 223.
