MOAC hands out all-league awards to athletes

The Mid-Ohio Ath­letic Con­fer­ence has released its all-conference teams for the fall sports over­seen by the league.

In foot­ball, Highland’s Shawn Gray and Quen­ton Miller both were named to the first-team offense, as were Mount Gilead’s Michael Bland and Northmor’s Tyler Beck.

Named to the first-team defense were Dustin Baker and Shawn Beltz of High­land, and Andy Dever and Jerred Fraizer of Cardington.

Two Mor­row County vol­ley­ball play­ers were named to that sport’s first team, as Highland’s Kam Terry and Northmor’s Allie Tupps received that honor.

In cross coun­try, first-team recog­ni­tion was based on per­for­mances in the league meet, with the top seven fin­ish­ers being named.

For the girls, Ray­chel Gress, Jenna Ship­man and Bryanna Bolha of Mount Gilead were all first-team run­ners; as was Dani Blum of Northmor.

Mount Gilead’s Tyler Beck and Jason Hea­cock were first-team boys’ run­ners, as were Jacob Long of Card­ing­ton and Logan Eber­sole of Highland.

Two more local ath­letes were named to the first team MOAC in golf. Ryan Caudill of North­mor and Jesse Rhode­beck of Mount Gilead both were picked.
