Christmas in the Village is this weekend

The annual Christ­mas in the Vil­lage is Fri­day and Sat­ur­day, Decem­ber 7 and 8 this year.

The Mor­row Lit­tle The­atre will have a show at Trin­ity UMC 75 East High St. Mount Gilead. Din­ner at 6:30 p.m and show at 7. Tick­ets for show and din­ner are $12 for adults and $9 for Sr. Cit­i­zens and Stu­dents. Show ONLY tick­ets are $8 for adults and $6 for Sr / St. MAKE RESERVATIONS FOR DINNER NO LATER THAN WED. DEC 5! Also, the CIC class at Trin­ity will have a silent auc­tion of gift bas­kets at inter­mis­sion as a way of rais­ing funds to help needy fam­i­lies in our area. LOTS of rea­sons to join us. The Park Avenue PTO Santa Secret Shop is planned for Decem­ber 8 from noon – 5 pm. It will be held at the old Bowen Jew­el­ers build­ing. Par­ents, bring your lit­tle ones and have them shop for gifts for all the spe­cial peo­ple in their lives. Gifts priced from $.25 to $15.00.

The Mor­row County His­tor­i­cal Soci­ety Museum (Cross House) will be open on Sat­ur­day, Dec. 8, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a spe­cial dis­play of “Dolls Through the Decades”, with a rep­re­sen­ta­tion of how dolls have changed for each gen­er­a­tion. A large Vic­to­rian doll­house will be fea­tured on dis­play, along with a vari­ety of ‘dolls through the decades.’

The Museum is located at 85 East Mar­ion Street in Mount Gilead, and admis­sion is free.

Hol­i­day Home Tour — The Mt. Gilead Kiwa­nis Club is host­ing a Hol­i­day Home Tour on Sat­ur­day, Dec. 8, from 1–5 p.m. to ben­e­fit com­mu­nity ser­vice projects. The cost of the tour is $10 per per­son and includes five homes in Mt. Gilead that will be dec­o­rated for the hol­i­day sea­son. Tick­ets are being sold by Kiwa­nis mem­bers and at First Fed­eral Bank of Ohio in Mt. Gilead, First Knox National Bank, and Sames & Cook. The tour starts at the Mor­row County Emer­gency Ser­vices Build­ing, 140 S. Main St., the day of the tour, where tick­ets will be avail­able. A hol­i­day raf­fle will also be held.
