"Through the Eyes of a Child Art Show" will run through January 2 at Cellar Studios Ink
By Alberta Stojkovic
An exhibit of art work from 25 children “Through the Eyes of a Child” will be on display at Cellar Studios Ink in Mount Gilead through Jan. 2nd. The show is sponsored by the Morrow County Art League for children 10 years old and younger.
Studio owner, Jim Fleeson said that this is the best children’s art show they have had so far and also the most well attended reception for the artists. There were 13 kids at the reception with their parents and grandparents last Saturday. They came to see the 45 pieces of art at the show and enjoyed refreshments there.
The children are responsible to bring their own art and have it mounted, but Fleeson said most got help from parents or art teachers. He appreciated Mount Gilead Art Teacher, Robin Conrad for her help in working with the exhibit and helping to mount some of the children’s artwork.
“Through the Eyes of a Child” show will be on display at Cellar Studios Ink gallery at 18 W. High St. on the square in Mount Gilead through Wed. Jan. 2. Hours are Mon.-Fri. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sat.
10 a.m. — 2 p.m. To learn about the schedule for the Morrow County Art League you can visit the Cellar Studios Ink website at www.cellarstudiosink.com.
