Mt. Gilead Library receives a grant for children’s materials
The Mount Gilead Public Library recently received a grant in the amount of $5,000 for the purchase of children’s materials.
The Dorothy Louise Kyler Foundation, located in Toledo, funded the grant to many libraries across the state. Connie Conant, children’s librarian and author of the grant request, indicated that the money will be used to purchase books in the non-fiction section of the children’s library as well as age appropriate music.
In the era of shrinking budgets, the money from this grant will allow the Mount Gilead Public Library to provide our youngest patrons with more choices in these two areas in order to help them understand concepts and learn more about the world around them.
