Senior JOG holds Annual Food Drive for Jobs and Family Services
The Northmor Senior JOG class had their annual food drive for the Morrow County Jobs and Family Service food pantry in December.
The first period classes in the junior and senior high school had food competitions with the winning classes receiving a pizza luncheon.
This year the elementary students in the 4th and 5th grades classes were involved in the food drive and were in serious competition.
All the winning classes had their pizza luncheon provided by Barth Burgett of KoKosing Construction. Over 2600 food items were delivered to the food pantry.
In the junior high, Mr. Jeff Hubschman’s class won with 185 items. and Mrs. Ann Pfister’s high school class won with a 1099 items.
The winners in the elementary school were Mrs. Parrott’s 4th grade and Mrs. Tobin’s 5th grade students. Northmor JOG again provided fresh vegetables to the food pantry in the fall from their Victory Garden at school. Other participants involved in our food drive was Kroger’s and Save-A-Lot in Mt. Gilead and Holiday Express and The Hampton Inn on State Route 36/37.
