Senior JOG holds Annual Food Drive for Jobs and Family Services

The North­mor Senior JOG class had their annual food drive for the Mor­row County Jobs and Fam­ily Ser­vice food pantry in Decem­ber.
The first period classes in the junior and senior high school had food com­pe­ti­tions with the win­ning classes receiv­ing a pizza lun­cheon.
This year the ele­men­tary stu­dents in the 4th and 5th grades classes were involved in the food drive and were in seri­ous com­pe­ti­tion.
All the win­ning classes had their pizza lun­cheon pro­vided by Barth Bur­gett of KoKos­ing Con­struc­tion. Over 2600 food items were deliv­ered to the food pantry.
In the junior high, Mr. Jeff Hubschman’s class won with 185 items. and Mrs. Ann Pfister’s high school class won with a 1099 items.
The win­ners in the ele­men­tary school were Mrs. Parrott’s 4th grade and Mrs. Tobin’s 5th grade stu­dents. North­mor JOG again pro­vided fresh veg­eta­bles to the food pantry in the fall from their Vic­tory Gar­den at school. Other par­tic­i­pants involved in our food drive was Kroger’s and Save-A-Lot in Mt. Gilead and Hol­i­day Express and The Hamp­ton Inn on State Route 36/37.
