Feb. 13th's Police Reports
1/31/13
11 p.m– Cited and released a woman on Iberia St. for driving under suspension and no brake lights and clear view.
7:27 p.m– Located a vehicle parked at the state park. Out of the two vehicle occupants, the driver had a suspended license. The license was was later destroyed.
2:26 p.m– Provided traffic control for a delivery truck that was stuck on W. Marion St.
1:38 p.m– Assisted the Dog Warden on Lee St. in retrieving tow dogs that were abandoned at an apartment.
9:56 a.m– Responded to an alarm drop on Buckeye Lane. The wind had blown the back door open.
8:12 a.m– Assisted a motorist on W. Union St. in regaining entry to her vehicle.
7:34 a.m– Checked out a non injury accident on Iberia St.
1:40 a.m– A man on Lee St. reported that there were two dogs around the apartment complex who appeared to be malnourished. It was determined that the dogs had come from an empty apartment.

4:10 p.m– Made contact with subjects that were soliciting on Lee St. They were advised that soliciting is not allowed in the village without proper permits.
3:05 p.m– Checked on a report of larger kids bullying smaller kids around Fort Gilead. Upon arrival only one child was located.
1 p.m– Assisted the State Medical Board in an interview.
1:03 p.m– Responded to a report of a man shouting and acting disorderly on Lee St. The man had been told to leave the apartment complex and was gone by the time that officers arrived.
12:19 p.m– Investigated a non injury accident on E. North St.
10 a.m– With K9 assistance, performed a school sniff at Tri Rivers.
9 a.m– Performed a school sniff at Harding High School.
8 a.m– Assisted with a school sniff at Elgin High School.
7:05 a.m– Woman on Douglas St. reported that she was worried that a bicycle that was put with her trash was stolen. No reports of a stolen bicycle matching the description was found in the last three years.
5:36 a.m– Removed a traffic hazard on N. Delaware St.
5:15 a.m– Removed a trash can in the roadway on N. Cherry St.
4:55 a.m– Disposed of some foam padding in the roadway on N. Main St.
12:35 a.m– Assisted the Sheriff’s Office with a breath test on an OVI suspect.
11:36 p.m– Assisted the squad on S. Delaware St.

7:32 p.m– Cited and released two individuals separately on Iberia St. for D.U.S, expired registration, no headlights, and expired registration.
2 p.m– Assisted the corrections facility staff with a fire drill.
3:20 p.m– Investigated a non injury accident on E. Center St.
1:58 p.m– Checked out a report of a domestic dispute on Lee St. The occupants of the residence agreed that they were arguing and the officer advised them that they needed to behave.
1:32 p.m– Aided a motorist on Park Ave. who had locked her keys inside of her vehicle.
1/28/13
11:42 p.m– A woman on N. Walnut St. reported that she had seen an unknown subject in the bed of her husbands truck. The officers patrolled the area but were unable to locate anyone.
11:13 p.m– An employee at McDonalds reported that while serving food to a customer, the aroma of marijuana was very strong. She advised the direction that the vehicle went, but police were unable to locate it.
10 p.m– On W. Union St. a man was yelling at himself, but it was mistaken as a domestic dispute. The man was advised to stay indoors until he cooled off.
6:30 p.m– A motorist on W. Marion St. required assistance after locking her keys inside of her vehicle.
4:50 p.m– A man on E. Marion St. locked his keys inside of his vehicle.
6:10 p.m– Investigated a non injury accident on E. Marion St.
5:40 p.m– While patrolling on foot, criminal tools and packaged material were found near an empty building on W. Marion Rd.
4:50 p.m– A man on Rich St. advised of a dead hawk in a nearby tree, he believed hawks were on the protected list. He also thought that the bird may have died from a pellet gun wound. He was advised to contact ODNR.
1:40 p.m– A man on Marion Road locked his keys in his vehicle.
1:41 a.m– On Lee St. a woman reported that an unknown young woman came to her door crying, asking for a ride to Cardington because he boyfriend had locked her out. The home owner refused, and police were unable to locate the woman in the area.

1:58 p.m– Made contact with a woman on Douglas St. and transported her to the Sheriffs Office.
6 a.m– Secured an improperly secured entrance at the high school.
6:54 a.m– Assisted the squad on W. Marion Rd.
8:13 a.m– Made contact with a man who was stumbling in a store on W. Marion St. The man had recently been in the hospital and was taken home.
11:55 a.m– A woman on E. High St. locked her keys in her vehicle.
11:45 a.m– Assisted the Sheriffs Office on W. High St.
5:06 p.m– Arrested a man on W. Union St. for an active warrant, and he was charged for possession of marijuana.
7:32 p.m– Assisted the squad on S. Delaware St.
7:47 p.m– Aided a motorist on S. Main St. whose keys were locked inside of the vehicle.

8:07 a.m– A man on W. High St. locked his keys inside of his vehicle.
1:58 p.m– A fuel drive off was reported at the Duke station.
