Feb. 13th's Police Reports

1/31/13

11 p.m– Cited and released a woman on Iberia St. for dri­ving under sus­pen­sion and no brake lights and clear view.

7:27 p.m– Located a vehi­cle parked at the state park. Out of the two vehi­cle occu­pants, the dri­ver had a sus­pended license. The license was was later destroyed.

2:26 p.m– Pro­vided traf­fic con­trol for a deliv­ery truck that was stuck on W. Mar­ion St.

1:38 p.m– Assisted the Dog War­den on Lee St. in retriev­ing tow dogs that were aban­doned at an apartment.

9:56 a.m– Responded to an alarm drop on Buck­eye Lane. The wind had blown the back door open.

8:12 a.m– Assisted a motorist on W. Union St. in regain­ing entry to her vehicle.

7:34 a.m– Checked out a non injury acci­dent on Iberia St.

1:40 a.m– A man on Lee St. reported that there were two dogs around the apart­ment com­plex who appeared to be mal­nour­ished. It was deter­mined that the dogs had come from an empty apartment.

1/30/13

4:10 p.m– Made con­tact with sub­jects that were solic­it­ing on Lee St. They were advised that solic­it­ing is not allowed in the vil­lage with­out proper permits.

3:05 p.m– Checked on a report of larger kids bul­ly­ing smaller kids around Fort Gilead. Upon arrival only one child was located.

1 p.m– Assisted the State Med­ical Board in an interview.

1:03 p.m– Responded to a report of a man shout­ing and act­ing dis­or­derly on Lee St. The man had been told to leave the apart­ment com­plex and was gone by the time that offi­cers arrived.

12:19 p.m– Inves­ti­gated a non injury acci­dent on E. North St.

10 a.m– With K9 assis­tance, per­formed a school sniff at Tri Rivers.

9 a.m– Per­formed a school sniff at Hard­ing High School.

8 a.m– Assisted with a school sniff at Elgin High School.

7:05 a.m– Woman on Dou­glas St. reported that she was wor­ried that a bicy­cle that was put with her trash was stolen. No reports of a stolen bicy­cle match­ing the descrip­tion was found in the last three years.

5:36 a.m– Removed a traf­fic haz­ard on N. Delaware St.

5:15 a.m– Removed a trash can in the road­way on N. Cherry St.

4:55 a.m– Dis­posed of some foam padding in the road­way on N. Main St.

12:35 a.m– Assisted the Sheriff’s Office with a breath test on an OVI suspect.

11:36 p.m– Assisted the squad on S. Delaware St.

7:32 p.m– Cited and released two indi­vid­u­als sep­a­rately on Iberia St. for D.U.S, expired reg­is­tra­tion, no head­lights, and expired registration.

2 p.m– Assisted the cor­rec­tions facil­ity staff with a fire drill.

3:20 p.m– Inves­ti­gated a non injury acci­dent on E. Cen­ter St.

1:58 p.m– Checked out a report of a domes­tic dis­pute on Lee St. The occu­pants of the res­i­dence agreed that they were argu­ing and the offi­cer advised them that they needed to behave.

1:32 p.m– Aided a motorist on Park Ave. who had locked her keys inside of her vehicle.

1/28/13

11:42 p.m– A woman on N. Wal­nut St. reported that she had seen an unknown sub­ject in the bed of her hus­bands truck. The offi­cers patrolled the area but were unable to locate anyone.

11:13 p.m– An employee at McDon­alds reported that while serv­ing food to a cus­tomer, the aroma of mar­i­juana was very strong. She advised the direc­tion that the vehi­cle went, but police were unable to locate it.

10 p.m– On W. Union St. a man was yelling at him­self, but it was mis­taken as a domes­tic dis­pute. The man was advised to stay indoors until he cooled off.

6:30 p.m– A motorist on W. Mar­ion St. required assis­tance after lock­ing her keys inside of her vehicle.

4:50 p.m– A man on E. Mar­ion St. locked his keys inside of his vehicle.

6:10 p.m– Inves­ti­gated a non injury acci­dent on E. Mar­ion St.

5:40 p.m– While patrolling on foot, crim­i­nal tools and pack­aged mate­r­ial were found near an empty build­ing on W. Mar­ion Rd.

4:50 p.m– A man on Rich St. advised of a dead hawk in a nearby tree, he believed hawks were on the pro­tected list. He also thought that the bird may have died from a pel­let gun wound. He was advised to con­tact ODNR.

1:40 p.m– A man on Mar­ion Road locked his keys in his vehicle.

1:41 a.m– On Lee St. a woman reported that an unknown young woman came to her door cry­ing, ask­ing for a ride to Card­ing­ton because he boyfriend had locked her out. The home owner refused, and police were unable to locate the woman in the area.

2/3/13

1:58 p.m– Made con­tact with a woman on Dou­glas St. and trans­ported her to the Sher­iffs Office.

6 a.m– Secured an improp­erly secured entrance at the high school.

6:54 a.m– Assisted the squad on W. Mar­ion Rd.

8:13 a.m– Made con­tact with a man who was stum­bling in a store on W. Mar­ion St. The man had recently been in the hos­pi­tal and was taken home.

11:55 a.m– A woman on E. High St. locked her keys in her vehicle.

11:45 a.m– Assisted the Sher­iffs Office on W. High St.

5:06 p.m– Arrested a man on W. Union St. for an active war­rant, and he was charged for pos­ses­sion of marijuana.

7:32 p.m– Assisted the squad on S. Delaware St.

7:47 p.m– Aided a motorist on S. Main St. whose keys were locked inside of the vehicle.

2/4/13

8:07 a.m– A man on W. High St. locked his keys inside of his vehicle.

1:58 p.m– A fuel drive off was reported at the Duke station.
