Fulton man struck by tree limb, hospitalized

A Ful­ton man is in Grant Hos­pi­tal in Colum­bus after sus­tain­ing seri­ous head and neck injuries fol­low­ing an acci­dent Tues­day morn­ing at Camp Marengo/Ohio Retreat Cen­ter at 3480 Rd 221.

Accord­ing to Mor­row County Sher­iff Steve Bren­ne­man, Mike Crothers, 39, was cut­ting down a tree shortly before 9:30 a.m. when the tree fell into a sec­ond tree — which fell into a third tree, break­ing off a large limb that fell and struck him on the head. Crothers was trans­ported to Grant Med­ical Cen­ter by Med­Flight and, accord­ing to Face­book posts, under­went surgery Wednesday.
