Two-car crash sends two to Columbus hospitals
8:45 p.m. Monday — A two-vehicle crash about 1:30 p.m. on County Road 26 north of Marengo sent two people to Columbus hospitals.
According to Mt. Gilead Post 59 of the State Highway Patrol, Carrie Kearns, 29, of Cardington, was southbound in a 1995 Pontiac Sunfire when it left the road, clipped a mailbox, came back onto the roadway and struck a northbound 2001 Mercury Sable driven by Anastasha Miller, 26, of Marengo.
Kearns was airlifted to OSU Medical Center in Columbus. Her passenger, Frank Jackson, 41, of Cardington, was airlifted to Grant Medical Center in Columbus.
Miller was not seriously injured. No citations have been issued at this time. Big Walnut Joint Fire District responded to the scene as well as Morrow County EMS and the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office.
