Two-car crash sends two to Columbus hospitals

8:45 p.m. Mon­day — A two-vehicle crash about 1:30 p.m. on County Road 26 north of Marengo sent two peo­ple to Colum­bus hospitals.

Accord­ing to Mt. Gilead Post 59 of the State High­way Patrol, Car­rie Kearns, 29, of Card­ing­ton, was south­bound in a 1995 Pon­tiac Sun­fire when it left the road, clipped a mail­box, came back onto the road­way and struck a north­bound 2001 Mer­cury Sable dri­ven by Anas­tasha Miller, 26, of Marengo.

Kearns was air­lifted to OSU Med­ical Cen­ter in Colum­bus. Her pas­sen­ger, Frank Jack­son, 41, of Card­ing­ton, was air­lifted to Grant Med­ical Cen­ter in Columbus.

Miller was not seri­ously injured. No cita­tions have been issued at this time. Big Wal­nut Joint Fire Dis­trict responded to the scene as well as Mor­row County EMS and the Mor­row County Sheriff’s Office.
