Northmor chapter of National Honor Society inducts new members
Thirteen Northmor High School students were recently inducted into the school’s chapter of the National Honor Society. The new inductees were selected on the basis of the ideals of the National Honor Society which are scholarship, character, leadership, and service.
On Friday, February 15, new members were tapped by current members in Superman fashion and all were surprisingly excused from school for the remainder of the day. A field trip to Blue Fusion in Marion for bowling, lunch, and time spent playing games was a fun reward for these students for their hard work.
The formal induction ceremony was held in the evening on Wednesday, February 27 in the high school cafetorium so parents and family members could be present. The officers of NHS conducted the induction ceremony, with each new inductee being introduced by a mentor or sponsor of his or her choosing. After newly inducted members signed the official registry, current members held a reception for the new inductees and their families.
New members of Northmor’s National Honor Society are as follows: Elizabeth Corwin, Daniel Donner, Ellie Logan, Douglas Meadows, Jonathan Pfister, Trevor Pryor, Kelsey Reeder, Danielle Timmons, Allison Tupps, Emilee Vance, Jamie Vanderkooi, Grace Walker, and Michelle Waugh.
