A one vehicle accident on SR 314 in Troy Township resulted in a fiery crash, but the driver escaped injury.
About 8:40 p.m. on Dec, 30, 2013, Myron Hendrick, 35, of Mansfield was traveling north on SR 314 when his 2008 Chevy Cobalt veered off the right side of the roadway, struck a guardrail and overturned. It came to rest on its top and became engulfed in flames.
Hendrick was wearing his seat belt and was not injured. He was able to get out of the vehicle and make it back to the roadway. He reported that he was distracted inside the vehicle.
Hendrick was cited for operating without reasonable control.
The accident was investigated by the Ohio State Highway patrol Post 59. Also responding to the scene were Morrow County EMS, The Morrow County Sheriff’s Department and Johnsville Fire Department.
