Humane Society’s Photos With Santa fun for all

January 7, 2014

The Humane Society of Morrow County hosted its annual Photos with Santa on December 7th and 8th at the Mt. Gilead Fire Station. There were many shapes and sizes of dogs present, some kitties and even a lizard!

It was fun to see so many smiling faces have their picture taken with Santa. Two young ladies who had decided to save their money and buy some items for animals in need stopped by with a donation. They donated canned and bagged cat food to the Humane Society of Morrow County. What a wonderful idea for the giving season and we sincerely appreciate their efforts and are excited to see young people of the county concerned about the well-being of animals in need. Hats off to Haley and Makayla Renzella!

We greatly appreciate the support of our members, volunteers and everyone that attended and assisted in making Photos with Santa a success this year. Anne Shaffer won the 50/50 raffle donated her winnings back to the Humane Society. Thank you Anne! Carol Bond was the winner of the raffle basket that included bath/body items and a gift certificate.

Funds raised will be used toward spay/neuter efforts within Morrow County, a proactive step to avoid neglect, abuse and abandonment of unwanted litters of dogs and cats.
