Police Calls for January 29, 2014

12:37 A.M. An officer investigated an alarm drop at the Mental Health Center.

2:58 A.M. An officer was dispatched to Cardington to assist with a domestic dispute.

6:20 A.M. Complainant locked her keys in her car in the 100 block of North Rich Street. Entry was gained without damage.

8:19 A.M. Dispatched advised of an alarm at the 500 block of Buckeye lane. Home owner advised that everything was okay.

1:30 P.M. While on patrol an officer noticed two vehicles stopped at the intersection of St. Rt. 61 and U.S. 42. Officer made contact with them and they advised that they had an accident.

6:05 P.M. Complainant advised her ex-boyfriend was harassing her. An officer advised that nothing criminal had taken place. An officer advised her that she needed to talk with an attorney about getting a restraining order.

10:09 P.M. An officer was dispatched to the Duke station on a report of a suspicious person.


12:27 A.M. A motorist reported a male subject lying along side of the roadway on North Main Street. The male subject was located he advised that he was walking to a friends house. The male subject was advised to continue on his way.

5:03 A.M. An officer found an open door at Buckeye Fitness Center. The officer and his k-9 partner checked and secured the building.

1:00 P.M. The manager of the apartment complex on the 500 block of Lee Street reported damage to an unoccupied apartment.

2:30 P.M. Complainant locked her keys inside her vehicle. Entry was gained without damage.

4:35 P.M. A complainant called to report possible child endangering.

6:15 P.M. The complainant reported that a female subject has been to her home twice this week acting strangely.

7:35 P.M. The complainant reported that a subject was on the porch pounding on the door and would not leave. Complainant also said the subject was drunk. The subject was arrested for persistent disorderly conduct.


12:21 A.M. A deputy requested assistance with a domestic dispute call at the county road 108 address. The male subject fled the scene and was not located.

2:22 A.M. A deputy request assistance with another domestic dispute at the same address. The male subject from the previous call who fled the scene had returned.

11:22 A.M. Cited and released a male subject for driving under suspension and expired registration.

2:05 P.M. An officer responded to a non-injury accident on High street.

8:59 P.M. The Sheriff’s office dispatched an officer to North Delaware Street after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle stopped at the mailboxes. An officer advised that they had just passed the vehicle and it was putting ads on mailboxes.

9:37 P.M. While on patrol at the 500 block of West Marion Road I located the front entrance to be open. I searched the building and secured it.

11:52 P.M. Deputy requested an officer to assist him with a domestic dispute at Candlewood Lake.
