2:21 a.m. The Merchant Mall Building front entrance was found to be unsecure, building checked and secured the door.
2:21 a.m. Complainant reported loud music coming from an apartment in the 200 block of W. Union St. and also knocking on people’s doors. Spoke with and advised him of the complaint. He state he was going around knocking on doors to find someone to talk to and have coffee with him because he is lonely. Advised him that any future noise complaints will result in a citation, he stated he would stop.
10:56 a.m. Assisted Squad #1 with a non injury fall in the 300 block of S. Delaware St.
6:05 p.m. Dispatched to Meadow Dr. for a report of an alarm drop, while en route, it was cancelled due to a proper pass code.
7:38 p.m. Dispatched to Buckeye Lane on a report to two subjects going to door, located the two subjects wearing work uniforms and was advised they work for Direct Energy. Asked if they had a permit and they stated they did not, directed them to stop solicitation until they filed and received a permit. They advised they would get one as soon as they could.
7:47 a.m. A crossing guard for school students advised that a vehicle nearly struck her as she was stopping traffic for students to cross along with three students in the crosswalk. The vehicle did make contact with her crossing sign, pulled into the middle school, released a child, and sped out of the parking lot. The vehicle pulled out in front of the buses and more than one bus driver retrieved license plate information.
1:52 p.m. The complainant was legally parked in the parking lot of Discount Drug Mart while an operator of a second vehicle pulled in the next parking space and struck the front bumper of the passenger door of the complainant’s vehicle. This caused minimal damage to both vehicles
6:12 p.m. Entry gained with no damage on West Marion Rd.
6:48 p.m. Received a complaint from an anonymous male subject who stated he witnessed 4 juveniles walking on Co Rd 145 near State Rt. 61. They were picking up bottles from the ditch and breaking them on the roadway. Stopped and identified the juveniles and they informed me they were not the ones breaking the bottles and stated there were other juveniles walking. The information was passed on to dispatch.
7:08 p.m. Cited and released for driving under suspension on N. Main St.
7:32 p.m. Investigated a non injury accident on W. Marion Rd.
7:32 p.m. Investigated a report of a hit skip injury accident on E. Center St.
11:10 p.m. Arrested for use of 911 in the 200 block of W. Union St.
12:51 a.m. The Morrow Co Sheriff’s office requested a list location and attempt to locate a missing juvenile female. Spoke with the residents who advised that they had not seen or heard from the subject, looked around and the subject wasn’t there. The subject was later located when she return on N. Main St.
1:35 a.m. Assisted the Morrow Co Sheriff’s Office by administering a breath test to an O.V.I. subject.
7:12 a.m. Responded to Dogwood Lane for a report on a fall with injury of an elderly female who had been laying on the floor for several hours. Home Health Aide was present and assisted in helping the female up. There were no injuries and squad was cancelled.
10:17 a.m. Dispatched to Frickes Auto Repair in reference to vandalism, met with the owner who informed us that a vehicle on his lot was vandalized with written profanity on a customer’s vehicle. The owner informed us he believed the person(s) possibly responsible for doing this are a group of kids he ran off the property about a week ago.
4:53 p.m. Cited and released for driving under suspension on Willow Lane.
7:39 p.m. Complainant reported receiving strange messages on her phone from an unknown number. Spoke with the complainant and was showed the messages, the first stated “I’m pulling out of Mexico and moving my carrier down South America to Alaska I will trust u to attack the little weasel as I have been informed”, the second message read, “Bomb that complex please”. The phone was wrote down and advised the complaint to delete the messages and if she receives anymore to contact the police. The number was called and was informed that he was playing an online game and was messaging someone about it. It was determined that he had a wrong number.
8:38 p.m. Dispatched to Park Ave for a well being check for his friend; advised he has not spoke with his friend since Thursday. He stated he usually talks to him every day. He also stated that his friend had just spent two weeks in Riverside for Dialysis treatment and came home Thursday, asked if his apartment be checked. There was no answer; retrieved the Knox box and made entry into the apartment on Park Ave., no one was home and observed medication on the kitchen table. Left and secured the place.
3:29 a.m. Assisted at the Morrow County Hospital Emergency Room in a reference to a patient becoming disorderly. The patient , who was transported to the hospital by deputies for a mental health evaluation, was arrested for disorderly conduct.
5:37 p.m. Assisted Squad 1 at S. Delaware St., it was determined to be a diabetic emergency. She was transported by squad to the hospital.
7:20 p.m. Investigated a report of theft on Elmcrest Drive of her credit card number was used in Illinois.
7:40 p.m. Dispatched to Meadow Dr. for a report of an alarm, observed a vehicle parked in front of the building and met the cleaning person who state he couldn’t get to the alarm on time.
8:07 p.m. Dispatched to Baker St. for a report of a domestic, the complainant stated he called because his daughter, who does not live at the residence, was refusing to leave. He stated he then grabbed her by the arm and began to escort out of the residence, where several other family members began to yell at him and he stated he had enough and called. Stayed at the scene until the daughter left and gave warnings for disorderly conduct.
9:32 p.m. The complainant called and reported a custody issue. The complainant explained that he is the step grandfather of the children and that the father has the children and is refusing to give them back. Advised that the mother has full custody but is currently in jail along with her new husband, the father had a verbal agreement with their mother to return the children but stated since she is in jail he felt it would be better if he kept the children. Advised that he spoke to his attorney about the situation, he knows he does not have custody but is in the middle of filing for custody and also stated the children wanted to stay with him. The police determined that the Department would not be getting involved in the matter, called the father back and advised was not going to make him take the children back to the step grandfather but if the mother was to come get them she would have to surrender them. The complainant was advised of this and became upset and stated he would go to the father’s house tomorrow and get the children away. He was advised to not have any contact.
3:25 a.m. The front entrance of Merchant Mall building was found to be unsecure and building was checked and door secured.
10:47 a.m. On Marion Rd., a car was disabled where traffic was directed until Norm’s Towing arrived with fuel.
3:15 p.m. Staff at the Oxygen Store reported that they received a vague threat from a caller. One of the conversations, he told them he had a gun and that he was going to come to the business. He did not show up but has called the store several more times. The staff was advised to call 911 right away if he shows up.
4:09 p.m. Dispatch advised of an active fight at Fort Gilead between two females and one male. Found them separated but visibly upset. One of them had an active warrant out of Morrow Co. All parties agreed there wouldn’t be a further disturbance.
4:14 p.m. Assisted Sheriff’s Deputies and the Sheriff with a suicidal male, after a lengthy attempt to talk the man out of it, he shot himself on County Rd 25.
9:07 a.m. The complainant locked the keys inside her vehicle and entry was gained without damage on W. High St.
12:30 p.m. The principal of Mt Gilead Elementary School called to report of an assault. A student was assaulted by another student while they were walking home from school. Since the alleged victim was a juvenile, the parents were needed to talk to, called and left a message. Spoke to the mother of the victim, she was advised she would like a report filed and to the prosecutor for review.
4:26 p.m. Entry gained with no damage on Cypress Lane.
5:28 p.m. A babysitter while at Fort Gilead, had her mom call the M.C.S.O. to report an older male and female were yelling at her while she was babysitting. The babysitter asked the two people to quit smoking because the park was full of kids and that the one female was under age and pregnant. The male then defended the female and then the babysitter threatened to hurt the other female. She was advised that she cant threaten other people and other people smoking is not her concern. Both parties were told to stay away from each other.
6:45 p.m. An unknown male called the station to report an incident that had occurred earlier in the day. The caller stated he was from out of state and traveling on West High St. when a grey jeep recklessly pulled out of the driveway almost hitting him and the vehicle almost went onto the sidewalk.The male caller followed the driver to the Oxygen Store, made contact with the driver and could tell that she was high on drugs. Male caller stated he could tell how high she was because he is a nurse and had experience dealing with high people. The male caller stated Oxygen Store employee was leaving at 7:00 and needed to be arrested because she will probably still be high. The male caller would not give me his name and he stated he did not want to “That involved” and refused to give any identifying information. Spoke with the employee and advised her of the complainant and no detection of her being impaired was found.
9:37 a.m. Dispatch advised of an alarm on N. Main St., the house was found secure and no signs of entry. A contracted arrived and stated he is the person that set the alarm off accidently. He showed us his phone number where he attempted to contact the home owners but was unable to.
1:18 a.m. Staff at the Hospital reported a male was causing a disturbance and being disorderly. He was at the Urgent Care Window making an appointment, when he was done he was escorted outside and discussed proper behavior in the hospital. The male stated he understood and left the property.
11:32 p.m. Assisted the M.C.S.O. with a standardize sobriety test to an impaired driver.
