Monday rollover sends one to hospital - UPDATE

UPDATE 04.02.14 - 10:05 a.m. A one-car rollover in Bennington Township sent one person to a Columbus hospital Monday morning.

According to the Ohio State Patrol, Jacqueline Randolph-Peters, 52, Marengo, was southbound in a Toyota Avalon on Township Road 208 when she went off the left side of the road and struck a tree at approximately 10:15 a.m.

Witnesses at the scene reported her tires caught in the muddy berm on the left side of the roadway and stated she told them that she over-corrected, causing the rear of the vehicle to fishtail completely around, flipping the car over the embankment where it came to rest upside down between two trees. Witnesses reported that she was alert, conscious and able to answer questions. She was extracated from the vehicle and transported by MedFlight to Grant Medical Center. She was also cited for operating without reasonable control.

Emergency crews responded from Big Walnut Joint Fire District, Porter Kingston Fire District, Delaware Medic, Morrow County EMS, Morrow County Sheriff’s department and the Ohio State Highway Patrol to the March 31, 2014 accident.
