The annual Morrow County Chamber of Commerce Breakfast had a full house earlier this month as they heard about the future economic outlook for 2014 and beyond.
The 2014 annual Forecast breakfast drew record numbers as they listened to Kenny McDonald speak about Columbus 2020. Columbus 2020 is an 11-county effort to attract and solicit business for economic growth and productivity. Columbus 2020 is the economic development organization representing the 11-county Columbus Region, an area ranked as a top location for business.
Columbus 2020 works in collaboration with state and local partners to offer comprehensive services to companies evaluating the area. Our team leverages the strengths of the Columbus Region’s talented workforce, small and large businesses, research and academic institutions, logistics infrastructure and international connections to ignite economic growth and build a healthier, more sustainable future for Central Ohio.
Additionally Jim Wyse, the Northwest Ohio Regional Developmental Manager for the Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation spoke to chamber members and gave insight in to savings they can experience through Worker’s Compensation. Dawn Ratliff was also on hand to answer questions and address concerns regarding the Chamber ADM health plan options and benefits. She assured the members she is available and willing to provide health plans for businesses that are members of the Morrow County Chamber.
The Business Forecast is an annual event and was sponsored this year by Bennington Glenn, Consolidate Electric. Edward Jone, Farm Credit Mid-America, Flying Horse Farms, Hope Cabins, Kilgour’s Insurance Store, Marion technical College, Tri-Rivers Career Center and US Bank of Marengo.
