12:24 A.M. The officer arrested a female subject on an active warrant out of Richland County on N. Main Street.
1:03 A.M. A Sergeant with the Sheriff’s office requested that an officer respond to the 200 block of Boundary St. in reference to a 9-1-1 hang-up. The officer made contact with a female caller who advised that she had accidently called while asleep.
7:50 A.M. The complainant came to the police department to pass on some information. She explained that she is leaving for vacation and taking her child with her. She said that her ex-husband is making claims that she is trying to kidnap their child. She wanted the police to be aware in case he attempts to file a report. I told her I would document what she told me so that the other officers are aware.
3:00 P.M. The complainant locked the keys inside his vehicle at the Mt. Gilead High School. Entry was gained without damage.
4:00 P.M. A male subject reported his vehicle was rear ended in the 300 block of West High Street..
8:49 P.M. The officer was dispatched to the 200 block of West Union St. on a well being check. Dispatch advised the officer needed to make contact with the male subject. The officer spoke with the male subject. The male subject stated he was not going to harm himself and never had any intention on doing so. The officer cleared the scene.
10:16 P.M. The officer assisted a deputy at the 100 block of East Vine Street in reference to an intoxicated male subject attempting to start a fight.
12:01 A.M. The officer arrested cited and released a female subject on W. High Street for O.V.I. and turn signal violation.
2:42 A.M. A sergeant of the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office requested that an officer respond to the Morrow County Hospital emergency room and relieve Deputy Smith so that he could respond to assist the sergeant on an emergency call. Deputy Smith was at the hospital with a prisoner who was receiving medical treatment. The officer relieved Deputy Smith and the prisoner was released shortly after. The officer transported the prisoner the morrow County jail.
12:30 P.M. A male subject reported the possible theft of a personal check in the 200 block of West Union Street. The male subject had recently notice that one of his personal checks had been returned and he did not remember writing the check. The officer told the male subject to contact his bank and find out that information so we can verify that he had not written the check and then the male subject can file a report.
3:50 P.M. A female subject reported she was struck by another vehicle on West High Street.
6:36 P.M. The complainant locked his keys in his vehicle on West Marion Road. Entry was gained without damage.
6:47 P.M. Complainant requested a civil stand by at the 200 block of Douglas Street. The male subject advised he was getting a divorce and things are heated between him and his wife and wanted a officer present while he gathered some belongings.
11:22 P.M. Dispatch advised she received a complaint of several juveniles trying to look inside vehicles in the 400 block of South Delaware Street. The caller advised he saw the juveniles take off running but was not sure which way they want. Upon arrival, the officer patrolled the area and was unable to locate any juvenile’s in the area.
2:29 A.M. Cited and released a female subject for possession of drug abuse instruments in the 100 block of W. High Street.
3:43 A.M. Dispatch advised of a mental subject being belligerent with hospital staff. The officer was advised that the subject had been brought in by the sheriff’s office on the previous shift. Dispatch then advised that the subject had left the hospital on foot. The officer responded to assist Sergeant Newsome. We were unable to locate the subject.
9:22 A.M. Complainant locked her keys in her car at the Buckeye Fitness Center. Entry was gained without damage.
10:14 A.M. An officer investigated a residential alarm drop at the 200 block of Park Avenue. The homeowner had arrived before the officer and checked the home. The officer advised him not to do that in the future for his safety.
10:34 A.M. The officer was dispatched to First Knox Bank in reference to a male subject. The officer spoke with the bank manager. The bank manager explained to the male subject that he no longer has business at both First Knox Banks and to not return. The male subject agreed and apologized for the trouble.
2:23 P.M. The officer was dispatched to the Hospice building in reference to an alarm drop. The officer checked the building it was secured.
4:50 P.M. The officer received a call from the complainant and he advised he saw a very young boy sitting in truck by himself in the parking lot of Save A Lot. Upon arrival, the officer saw the boy sitting in a truck. The officer asked the boy where his parents were and he stated his mom was inside the store. The boy then stated he could not unbuckle his seat belt. The officer unbuckled the boy and they both went into the store to find his mother. The boy then ran to a woman and advised that she was his mother. The officer advised the mother that he had received a complaint about her son being left in the vehicle by himself. The officer explained that is was not a good idea to leave her son in the car and if she did it again she would be charged accordingly. The mother stated it would not happen again.
6:27 P.M. Dispatch advised she received a complaint of several people going door to door at the 700 block of Grant Street and asking for their current electric bills. The officer made contact with the individuals in the vehicle and they stated they worked for just energy. The officer asked them if they had a permit to go door to door and they advised no. The officer explained to them how to get a permit and that they were done going door to door today.
9:20 P.M. The complainant called from the 300 block of West High Street advised that he and his mother keep receiving phone calls from a female subject. The complainant advised that the female subject was telling him that his ex wife was using drugs around his children. The officer advised that he would attempt to make contact with the female subject and advise her that if she does not stop contacting them she could be charged.
9:23 P.M. Dispatch advised of an alarm drop at the 300 block of Iberia Street. She advised she attempted to make contact with the homeowner but did not receive an answer. Upon arrival the officer located an unsecured door. Shortly after the homeowner arrived on scene and we entered the residence. We secured the residence and everything appeared to be ok.
9:42 P.M. The complainant reported he heard what sounded like gun shots coming from the area of West Marion Road. The officer patrolled the area and did not hear anything. The officer later called the complainant back and he advised it could have been fireworks.
10:50 P.M. Dispatch advised fire control had a 9-1-1 open line in the 100 block of S. Rich Street and they advised they could hear what sounded like a confrontation. Upon my arrival, there were several juveniles behind the house. The officer advised them why he was there and they said it was not them.
10:50 P.M. Dispatch advised she received a call from the 100 block of East North Street. They advised there was a man sitting in the corner of their yard. Dispatch advised the homeowner went outside with their dog and asked him what he was doing and he did not answer them. The man was picked up by a vehicle before the officer got there.
