Chesterville – Morrow Manor Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, family owned for 37 years, realized Memory Care is needed to better serve Morrow County and the surrounding area.
Pathways at Morrow Manor is a unique and personalized program dedicated to serving persons with Alzheimer’s disease, and dementia and related memory impairments. Despite the progressive nature of Alzheimer’s disease, independence and quality of life can be greatly enhanced through specially designed programs that create a sense of belonging, accomplishment, camaraderie and fun.
Darlene Yake, administrator for 29 years, emphasizes, “Pathways Memory Care offers meaningful and life enriching activities, along with specialized safety features in a ‘secured setting’. The staff at Morrow Manor are specially trained in the Pathways Program. Pathways embraces creative care techniques and methods of management that significantly decrease challenging behaviors associated with memory impairments within a setting that promotes enrichment and quality of life.”
Morrow Manor Staff understands the smallest details can make the biggest difference. That is why the Director of Nursing, Sharon Smith, evaluates the offered amenities to ensure Morrow Manor is exceeding the expectations of the resident, families and community. The Pathways program embraces “Rhythm of the Day” to structure the program as one answer to Alzheimer’s behavior.
A resident’s attitude changes often during the day, making their response to care and everyday life a difficult situation. The Rhythm of the Day program soothes their agitation and directs the Resident’s attention.
The staff is excited with this program. Especially offering Respite Care so that family members who care for someone who is ill, injured or frail to provide caregivers with planned temporary, or intermittent care and ensures that their family member continues to receive the attention they need in the absence of their caregivers.
Bruce Levering, a Chesterville native, purchased Morrow Manor over 36 years ago and later changed the structure of the building, adding on the front wing, updating and refurbishing the entire building. Bruce was a true advocate of compassionate care at Morrow Manor. And this certainly proved true when Morrow Manor ranked “5th” in the State of Ohio with a 95.87 percent Family Satisfaction Survey.
William Levering, son of Bruce and CEO of Levering Management, started his career at Morrow Manor upon completion of a business degree at Ashland University. He states, “At Morrow Manor, we embrace the spirit of family values by welcoming family and friends – as partners in caring. We encourage your family to be a part of the Morrow Manor Family.
“Pathways at Morrow Manor will give you and your family peace of mind when your loved one needs Alzheimer’s Care.”
Everyone at Morrow Manor says: “Come in for a personal tour end experience the Levering difference.”
