The June activities of the Morrow County TEA Party (a non-partisan organization) started with the study group meeting on June 6. The regular meeting of the TEA Party on June 19 opened with prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.
Food items were collected for distribution to No Limits Outreach Center.
Speakers were Tom Rice, Field Coordinator for the John Birch Society; and from neighboring Crawford County, Louis Katona III, a 31 year veteran police officer and instructor at the Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy. He told of his experiences with the US State Department, US Secret Service, US Border Patrol, Federal Bomb Team and the Salt Lake City World Olympics Police Force.
The next regular meeting of the Morrow County TEA party is July 21, 7:00 p.m., at the Mount Gilead Library Annex, 34 E. High Street in the rear. Speaker will be Wayne Rinehart and he will share his knowledge of the Declaration.
All activities of the Morrow County TEA Party are open to the public and all are welcome.
Due to summer activities, Study Night and Movie Night are suspended for the next three months. On October 6 Study Night will resume studying “Proclaim Liberty Throughout all the Land” Part 2. Movie Night will resume on October 21.
