CELINA — Two women were arrested Wednesday in Celina for possession of suspected heroin, according to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office.

The arrest was made after a tip to the sheriff’s office that heroin was being transported to Mercery County from Dayton for a delivery in Celina. The tip gave a description of a vehicle and its occupants. A vehicle was spotted pulling into the Marathon gas station on South Main Street in Celina with occupants matching the tip.

After making contact with the people in the vehicle — Skye Anna Daniels, 33, of Coldwater, Cassandra Nicole Springer, 19, of Celina, and a third occupant — detectives arrested Daniels and Springer. Detectives and deputies recovered two capsules of suspected heroin and a used syringe from property belonging to Daniels. Six capsules of suspected heroin were also taken from Springer. The third occupant of the vehicle was released at the scene.

The vehicle was towed to the sheriff’s office. A request has been made to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office to file felony charges in this case.

Residents are encouraged to leave tips by calling the sheriff’s office at 567-890-8477, going to or on the office’s Facebook page.
