Highland FFA attending members Gracie Hinkle, Cailin Smith, Chandler Bumpus, Kaylin Sloan and Garrett Milburn all took the trip down to Carrollton, Ohio to attend the second session of the Ohio FFA Camp Muskingum.

During this trip, members participated in the Olympic Games, which was this years camp theme.

Throughout the week they competed in various games and leadership activities. Such games and activities included: horseshoes, tether ball, corn hole, ping pong, human foosball, volleyball, basketball, softball, archery, rifle shooting, shotgun shooting, debate and also creed speaking.

Although everyone arrived together, they were later split up into camp chapters. During this time they competed in competitions, ate together, completed leadership activities, and most importantly, had fun!

Over the course of a day these groups challenged themselves to not only trust one another but also how to work efficiently to win at various competitions.

Over the course of the entire week each and every person on the team was forced out of their comfort zone and into real challenges. These challenges consisted of everyone having to learn, meet, and trust total and complete strangers. Although everyone was wary at first, they finally opened up and developed friendships with various people inside and outside of their camp chapters.

As the week came to a close everyone shared their personal memories that had happened throughout the week. One girl said “I had an amazing time!! For the past five days I have challenged myself and I have come to appreciate these amazing people! I never stopped having fun”. Each person had their own memories to share, whether it was the food, the activities, eating with the state officers, or even having the opportunity to meet so many new and diverse people. After all of these great new memories there was one thing that everyone had in common, they never stopped having fun.
