As part of the renovation effort at the Mount Gilead State Park much of the MGSP grounds are closed to visitors.
As of Aug. 23, the lake at the park is not able to be accessed. The lower parking lot is also blocked off.
Additionally, the Lakeside Trail and the remainder of the park’s hiking trails leading to it are closed.
Shelterhouse #3 remains accessible and the multi-purpose trail is accessible from the parking area on US Route 42.
