This week Mount Gilead High School kicks off their homecoming festivities on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. with a parade.
The route begins at the fairgrounds, travels down Main Street to Park Avenue, ending on the high school football field.
The ‘Junior/Senior Powder Puff Game’, a bonfire and chili supper sponsored by the Spanish club will take place after the parade at the high school.
Mount Gilead’s Homecoming ceremony will take place Sept. 30 at 6:30 p.m. with the introduction of the court and crowning of the 2016 Homecoming King and Queen. The game against the Elgin Comets will commence at 7 p.m.
The homecoming dance will take place Oct. 1 from 8-11 p.m. at the high school. The dance is semi-formal, and all tickets must be purchased at the school ahead of time.
