Gerald and Pauline Matson of Mount Gilead will celebrate their 71st wedding anniversary on Nov. 11.
The former Pauline Rathburn and Gerald R. Matson were married Nov. 11, 1945 in Mount Gilead at the home of the bride’s parents, Frank and Alta Rathburn. The Rev. Dale Riggs officiated the ceremony.
Gerald and Pauline have two daughters: Bonnie Waldbauer and Jill McNeil, both of Galion. The Matsons also have four sons: Richard (Nancy) of London, OH; Steven (Vicki), Bruce (Cathy) and Joseph (Sheryl) all of Mount Gilead. They also have 15 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren.
Gerald and Pauline have live their entire married lives in Mount Gilead and are members of the First Baptist Church.
