Highland High School graduate and former NJROTC XO Jonah Maggs graduated from the U.S. Army basic training program at Fort Jackson, South Carolina on Aug. 11. He graduated and earned a rifle marksmanship badge.

On Nov. 8, PV2 Maggs graduated from Advanced Individual Training in the 91 Bravo wheeled vehicle mechanic military occupational specialty at Fort Lee, Virginia where he was selected as a classroom leader

. Next, he will go to Fort Benning, Georgia for 3 weeks of paratrooper training at Airborne School in anticipation of an assignment to the 112th Special Operations Signal Battalion at Fort Bragg, NC. Proud parents are Owen and Melissa Maggs of Mount Gilead.
